I’m adding Drake to this list of musicians who sold their soul, but I don’t know if you can really count Drake as a musician.
TheDevilsLettuceParticipantRank: DropletPoints: 23.75Drake is weak. Kendrick Lamar has this in the bag. How do you come back from being called a pedo and a colonizer by Kendrick Lamar, with such velocity and directness? And when you respond with some weak stuff like this, all it does it make Kendrick’s argument stronger.
No wonder Kendrick has kept quiet and not dropped another yet. Drake writhing in pain over there. Especially because Drake has had plenty of rumors circling about him that many choose to ignore because they like his music and it’s hard to believe that an “artist” you like could be a bad person.
People are saying that “The Heart Part 6” is the first one to drop where Drake didn’t use his ghostwriters. I’d have to agree with that one.
Kendrick Lamar the GOAT. Drake is a bitch!
TheDevilsLettuceParticipantRank: DropletPoints: 23.75@toastedcarrot Sorry, I’m with @Billy-Slut on this one
TheDevilsLettuceParticipantRank: DropletPoints: 23.75Relevant to this, is the real potential TikTok ban in the United States: https://time.com/6971009/tiktok-banned-restrictions-worldwide-countries-united-states-law/
When we consider that Noah Kahan was made famous primarily through TikTok (owned by a Chinese company), the potential for a conspiracy theory arises. It is plausible to think that the Chinese would push certain types of music with their algorithm.
If Noah Kahan is out there with a negative message, and he appeals to the most impressionable demographic of Americans, perhaps the opportunity arose to tweak the algorithms to favor the rise of this artist. So that he would become mega-famous and spread this kind of hateful message upon the American youth.
Getting really deep into it, you consider the name Noah Kahan, and its coincidental homophone with the word “Khan,” or king in Mongol & Turkic tribal language.
Noah Kahan is a Chinese plant, confirmed.
TheDevilsLettuceParticipantRank: DropletPoints: 23.75This man represents the worst of the music industry. Didn’t quite “sell his soul,” rather he found a way to appeal to the lowest common denominator of American society. Anybody who considers themselves a legitimate fan of Morgan Wallen is nothing more than an NPC. Morgan Wallen sucks.

Kendrick rips it here. I think he’s got a lot of integrity, if he’s initiating a beef he’s definitely feeling confident about it.
Future’s verse at the beginning is pretty rough.. he sounds way too high..
TheDevilsLettuceParticipantRank: DropletPoints: 23.75Yeah, we’ll never hear the real truth. It’s planned that way, because P Diddy is just the tip of the iceberg in the music industry.
I always knew that he was a scum bag though.
TheDevilsLettuceParticipantRank: DropletPoints: 23.75Up, and then down again. What a ride. Sold at 70 for a quick buck, waiting to hop back in.
TheDevilsLettuceParticipantRank: DropletPoints: 23.75@tater_swift currently, I would say that your crypto poses less of a risk than the Reddit IPO. The upcoming bitcoin halving is supposed to pump the hell out of the crypto market. Not that I really know what will happen. Crypto seems to be in a hot wave right now.
Long term, it remains to be seen.
TheDevilsLettuceParticipantRank: DropletPoints: 23.75I don’t know anything about it, but I also don’t find it to be a particularly good listen either. It sounds like sloppy punk rock from some guys who need more practice.
TheDevilsLettuceParticipantRank: DropletPoints: 23.75Zach Bryan has some undeserved fame for sure. He signed the deal with the industry and became the country darling in exchange for his soul. The results of this transaction will be noticed when his later releases become full-on pop trash. It may take some years, but we will see his talents fade.
However, he is likely to remain famous. The industry manufactures the flavor of the week, and the artists project that flavor with their “songwriting.”
What we hear is more often a room full of suits creating songs based purely on their monetary value, thus removing the mind, body, and soul from the recordings and feeding it to the masses.
The problem is, the masses eat it up.
I say, enjoy quality Zach Bryan music while you can. Because there ain’t much more quality coming out of that pipeline.
TheDevilsLettuceParticipantRank: DropletPoints: 23.75@tylerclapper kudos to those guys for doing the Lord’s work.
I agree with @qrisg, Neil did this purely for financial reasons.
TheDevilsLettuceParticipantRank: DropletPoints: 23.75But is it really a good opportunity for investors? Or is it just going to drop down to $5-$10 per share and take years to grow back?
Personally, I think investing in this IPO would be considered a high risk decision.
That said, I’m definitely one who enjoys high risk financial decisions. So, I probably will invest some into this.
Nothing substantial, but I’d like to take the ride.
TheDevilsLettuceParticipantRank: DropletPoints: 23.75Persona is the biggest one for me. I like to feel like I’m rooting for a supervillain when I listen to rap music. I want them to be a drug dealing, potentially murderous individual with no respect for society or its rules.
All of their other attributes must play into this persona, from the lyrics, to the beat selection, to the crowd control (or lack thereof).
Travis Scott is one great example of the demonic rapper archetype. Something about that raw edge is just so appealing to me, despite the negative societal implications that may come along with it.
