It’s crazy how quickly you can ruin your life.. He’s so lucky that he didn’t hit one of those cops.. It would have been all over.

Perfect example of fame creating a monster who thinks they’re invincible. Will he ever actually get cancelled though.. mediocre talent gone way too far.

@kategtthomas I don’t know either. It seems like the more shit like this he does the more people eat it up. I doubt he will actually face the consequences of the three felonies he was charged with.

“Wallen was arrested and booked just after midnight and charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, posting a $15,250 bond to secure his release around 3:30 a.m. The incident came just days after Wallen kicked off his 2024 One Night at a Time tour. The singer’s next court date in the incident is May 3rd; he is slated to play Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on May 2nd and 3rd.”

Will he perform at those shows? I’d say probably.

Morgan Wallen’s also been publicly caught on video using explicit racial slurs (a few years ago) and still seems to have a pretty steady career. This raises the question — Do Country music stars face the same consequences that other celebrities do? Or does their fan base excuse behavior more than other fan bases?

@sgmgmt i remember when that happened… his neighbor caught him on camera after he came home drunk one night. out on his front lawn hollering racial slurs.

absolutely mind-blowing to me how this guy is the biggest name in country music right now when there are so many amazing country singers and songwriters out there …

This man represents the worst of the music industry. Didn’t quite “sell his soul,” rather he found a way to appeal to the lowest common denominator of American society. Anybody who considers themselves a legitimate fan of Morgan Wallen is nothing more than an NPC. Morgan Wallen sucks.

Update on this situation – Wallen pleads guilty and will spend 7 days in a DUI education center and 2 years on probation.

I could have sworn that there were felony charges involved here, but the People magazine article says misdemeanors.
