Yeah! I’ve got some sugar snap peas coming up right right now. I’m trying to grow a bunch of bell peppers this year, got some okra going, planning for cucumbers and some cherry tomatoes. Also have blackberries, blueberries.

I just have found that I enjoy growing flowers a lot, and the amount of effort that goes into growing a lot of them is lower. I like to see the bees and the butterflies and the birds out there.

The insects around here make growing vegetables a constant battle against mother nature. Flowers, too, but it’s a lot more manageable to grow at scale.

So i’m going to SXSW next week and i got invited to this thing called the “Future of Music Dinner” hosted by a company called Aimi.fm. Generative music.

Pretty savvy marketing since they call it an “annual” dinner but it’s their first event I believe. I’m probably going to check it out, and I’ll have some stuff to report here afterwards.

Generative music is a really weird thing to think about, the more I consider it. I’m skeptical about calling it the future of music but it might be true.

Four nights no repeats at the Fillmore in San Francisco just announced. This is some epic stuff and if I could I would go to all four nights.

Note if you type in “mmj fillmore san fran” into Google you will not find My Morning Jacket. You will find cannabis.

@qrisg we can also curate some of it from here. Most likely very little to no pay involved for the artists or us. Either $5 cover or free event.

Some more merging, the Artist Introductions forum was well-intentioned but I combined it into one topic. Most of those threads would just have one post anyway, so new artists who join the forum can simply post once in the introduction thread to introduce themselves to the Community if they so please.

In the future I might make this a requirement before adding the badge, but for now, I just want people to sign up and post.

1. Combined “Mainstream Pop Music” with “Music Industry General” – there seems to be significant overlap between these topics, and since we are still small I am trying my best to consolidate the boards
2.  I will be adding a “collapse” icon to each forum header that makes it easier to scroll down the page. Just a minor enhancement but I saw it on another forum and I really like it

This story really sucks. I work out on Folly, and it definitely shook the community out there when this happened…I feel for the family and the people involved.

Thinking about that road, and the speed she was going (65 mph I believe). Just insane that somebody would go that fast on that road at any time under any conditions.

Two more quick ideas to write down before i head to Pour House

1. pop up for non logged in users after viewing 3 pages
2. nested comments under each comment, allowing replies
   1. this will work in conjunction with quotes, so you can reply under a specific post or add to the overall discussion by posting a new reply

@indigxld alright sweet. We’re set then. Just waiting on the headliner. Next up is figuring out who is going to make our poster. I don’t really want to do it myself ever again if I can avoid that.

@qrisg had some good ideas about doing a contest with local up and coming graphic artists or some way of making it a social thing.
