Just some flower seeds coming up for now, and one solitary winter rose from last week. Most of my garden stuff will have to wait until after I get back from Texas.

More simplification of the project. Consolidated all the forums in the rabbit hole with plans to break them off into individualized genre forums as things get busier. For now I would really just like to keep everything together so people don’t get confused.

The easier, the better. I had a lot of fun building this website, but some of my ideas were more could than should.

That said, I also think this forum is dope and fine-tuning is a natural part of the process. It is really hard to imagine forums as discussion zones before anybody posts in them.

So, I re-thought the entire process. Still not 100% sure this is how it will remain but it’s closer to the final vision.

Bummed to see this show got cancelled! Hope all is well for Ween.

I have decided to DITCH the “Upvoted Feed.” Upvotes are now just for influencing the conversation and tracking points, and will no longer save posts to the upvoted feed.

I think it was too confusing, and sometimes you might want to upvote a post without saving it. I will probably implement a separate “SAVE” feature, which would allow you to save an individual post if you wanted to, but it would be separate from upvotes.

Keeping the “Following” feed as it makes a lot more sense to have that.

Wow this came up quick! Been super busy for the past few weeks but my trip to SXSW is happening this weekend. Still haven’t convinced my buddy DJ who I’ll be hanging out with in Texas to sign up here but I’m on the media list at SXSW.

Been getting a ton of emails every day. Whenever I get a minute to breathe I’m going to sit down and make up a schedule and respond to some people.

One thing I think I’m definitely attending is the future of music dinner that I mentioned elsewhere. But I literally have probably over one hundred emails right now flooding my inbox and it’s all about cool shit happening in Austin next week.

But I also have a plan for SXSW. I’ll be in town with a notebook in my pocket and a camera and I’ll be writing about my experience. I’m also looking to meet and network with people in town so hopefully some of them will join the forum while I’m there.

I’ll write about it casually here and formally on Extra Chill.

Update coming in the next couple of days once I figure out what exactly I’m going to try and do there.

First, thanks for joining. Second, I do think that song is pretty well-written and I’m glad you liked the article.

I think mainly it’s his voice. I had a few of his songs on a playlist and for a while I enjoyed that song “Stick Season.” Then one day, it played, and I just couldn’t stand hearing it for another second. I had to skip it. Had to.

We’ll see what happens. I’m probably going to see him at High Water and then I’ll have a more accurate assessment of how good or bad he is.
