in forum: Music DiscussionMelloe Soule Ent has surprise released “Stay Busy 2” a two song project produced and engineered by Melloe Soule’s bkaDavidSeward. Almost serving as an extended, deluxe version of the recently released “Stay Busy”, this short project packs a dualistic punch. Beginning with “Up It”, David teamed up with Nu of UnHeard Ent and used his signature automated vocal touches to bring to life a fun, bouncy track that also sets a statement. On the contrary, he ends the two piece, with a soft, slightly crispy biscuit, with “Got Some Nerve” featuring TahDah of PoorRichKollective & Nu. Sultry, slightly seductive, vulnerable-this song is a vibe. TahDah’s vocals add a silky smooth ribbon around the Dave’s emotional melodies and romantic realism. Tap in to Stay Busy 2 and be on the look out for more #GxldApproved sauce from Melloe Soule
in reply to: General Team CommunicationSup y’all, hitting the road today to begin my travels to Texas. I’ll be off grid in terms of CHS for the next week @ SXSW but still plan to be active in the forum and sending people here that I meet to stay connected. Just a quick update on some things as I pack up to head out the door.

Sup y’all, hitting the road today to begin my travels to Texas. I’ll be off grid in terms of CHS for the next week @ SXSW but still plan to be active in the forum and sending people here that I meet to stay connected. Just a quick update on some things as I pack up to head out the door.
It seems to be that when I go to festivals I always end up meeting people who want to stay in touch and this is the perfect way to facilitate that. And, finding new artists at SXSW they will hopefully “stick” to our brand and we’ll be able to develop more relationships with them.
Next New Music Radar update will be March 18th, which is the Monday after I get back.
Again, encouraging the team to post here whenever possible, to start discussions and drum up engagement. It will be really helpful to have the team in here chatting with people who post more often. We are building a brand of loyal followers.
If there is a blatant thing I’m missing that stands as a barrier to entry for you/other people that discourages posting please let me know. If the team ain’t about it, then I gotta figure out why! I feel like the team should be the most engaged here but that hasn’t been the case, maybe I’m not communicating my vision properly. If so, please ask me questions.
Understand that y’all are busy of course, but a team effort here would help us to grow faster which will lead to more opportunities for all of us.
Also, please don’t be afraid to speak up! I built this thing from scratch and only had a few people giving me feedback (thank you @qrisg and @meghanveino). If something is not intuitive or doesn’t seem to work right, please please let me know! I will try to fix it or address it!
Cheers!
Chris
in forum: Music DiscussionWhat’s up everybody? It’s your boy Penjamin Franklin here bringing a whole power surge of good vibes to the forum. I’m ready to shock this place into action! Since I’m feeling rather electric this morning I wanted to start my very first thread — a place to share songs about electricity! We’re looking for music that recognizes the electrical currents, baby!
I’ll start with an easy one:
MGMT – “Electric Feel”
Whaddaya got?
in reply to: What Are You Listening To Right Now?We all have a love for the 13 Reasons Why actor, Dylan Minnette.
AKA lead singer of Wallows.
Saw these guys at Music Farm in February of 2020!
Give a listen to “Your Apartment” – Their first release in over two years!
in reply to: Songs About CocaineCouldn’t decide if I should post this here or in the Tyler Childers thread!
in reply to: EthiopiquesYo, I know it’s like 5am but I’m listening to Ethiopiques right now. It’s kind of perfect vibes for this time of night/day/morning. Thank you for sharing and for the detailed info on it. Love it
in reply to: Rip City CHS – crazy fun variety show@nameless_numberhead when is the next one? A lot of my friends have gone to these and said great things. I need to get on the pulse!
@Mandi not sure when you’re talking about but Uber in Charleston used to be a lot better before the pandemic. Folly beach especially can be hard to get an Uber.
Daddy’s money gets you pretty far in Charleston!
in forum: Music DiscussionGoose has a new drummer – Cotter Ellis. Old news at this point, but i just had the chance to play Ted Tapes 2024 tonight and I gotta say the new guy’s got some chops. His playing is a lot more nuanced than Ben’s, at least on this release.
You knew they would purposely emphasize the drums with the first release, but I’d say that this might have been the jolt that Goose needed to keep things fresh.

I’ve been to a handful of Goose shows, and I’ve listened to a couple of their tours on Bandcamp as they come out. I think for a band that had so much hype, they got stale quick.
Something in me wanted to root for Ben Atkind. I think it was the way the Goose machine handled it… or maybe some of the trolls on Phantasy Tour got the best of me.
I dig Ted Tapes 2024. And now there’s the Chateau Sessions which I have not heard yet but I will also share here. Any Goose fans in the Community?
in reply to: Extra Chill Garden ClubJust some flower seeds coming up for now, and one solitary winter rose from last week. Most of my garden stuff will have to wait until after I get back from Texas.
in reply to: Anyone else come full circle on Noah Kahan?@chubes that makes sense! Hope you come back around on him!

in reply to: Thursday Night Open Mic @ Lofi Brewing@sgmgmt yeah they will be fine with it. But we are actually considering partnering with Mosquito Beach for this instead now.
I will keep everybody posted. I am about to be out of the local loop for a week but i plan to be posting in the forum the whole time.
in reply to: Thursday Night Open Mic @ Lofi BrewingWould love to be involved in lineups! Do you know if poho is cool with artists being under 21? I know Royal is strict about it. Asking some cofc kids to play would be a cool way to get a different demographic of EC peeps. That is if the show is for all ages.
