Any update on what’s going down this first week of April?
Hey! We are overhauling our events calendar currently so we stopped doing the weekly roundup as of last week, but we are working on something even better:
https://extrachill.com/calendar
This page will have everything listed in a much more maintainable format. I am still missing a handful of venues but it is already pretty solid.
I will also be adding a page where people can submit their own events. Sorry for the lack of communication on that.
in reply to: Dave Matthews BandI’ll have some of what they’re having.
in reply to: Sweetwater Extra Chill 420Not necessarily. I said that I was not informed of this before it happened and I’m working to resolve the issue.
I’ll share more updates when I have them.
in reply to: Alanis Morissette vs. Sheryl CrowHere’s a preview of the Alanis Morissette vs. Sheryl Crow band that’s playing at the Music Farm this Friday night:
Anyone in Charleston for the Cooper River Bridge Run is highly advised to come check out this show.
in reply to: Sweetwater Extra Chill 420Hey y’all, this was not an official collaboration and we did not know about it until today. We are equally confused and I have reached out to Sweetwater directly in hopes of resolving the issue.
in reply to: General Team CommunicationIf you have friends who work in F&B, tell them they can have a free ticket to the show on Friday night at the Music Farm if they tell people about it at work. Keep track of their names. If it’s going to be more than 5 let me know and I’ll make sure we can go over.
If anybody would like to partake in street marketing for the event, let me know. Gardner and I are going to be on foot all week.
in reply to: LOLA (Restaurant)I tried to go there last week but unfortunately they are closed on Sundays. I trust that if you took the time to recommend it then it’s probably freaking awesome. I’ll eventually get over there to check it out
in reply to: My Morning JacketSeptember tour dates include a stop in Charleston. Pairing with Nataniel Ratliffe & The Night Sweats. Some people find that to be an odd pairing, which it admittedly is, but I dig Nathaniel and I’ll be glad to catch him too.
Some people were also saying on Reddit that they wish MMJ would take a break from the road and let the momentum build up again. That I don’t necessarily agree with, because I think the band is fresh off the hottest summer tour possibly of their entire career so far.
Hopefully they can continue to pack heaters come Fall.

Saw Sheryl Crow in September, she was insane!! 62 years old and still got it!
Wow I did not know she was 62! Alanis is only 49… she was 21 when Jagged Little Pill came out. Youngest Artist (at the time) to win artist of the year at the Grammys according to her Wiki
in reply to: Best 2000s Pop-Punk/Emo MusicI’m so game for this topic. “Ocean Avenue” is also a nostalgic favorite of mine, but I’m going to start with some big heat.
Speaking of artists that got cancelled…
I present, “Seventy Times Seven” by Brand New
