Phish’s new album, Evolve will be released on July 12th, just over one month before the Mondegreen Festival in Dover, DE.

They have released two singles from the album thus far, “Evolve” and “Oblivion”

One notable thing from this tracklist is that they are releasing a Phish version of “Lonely Trip,” a song that they played when @marleyfacedboy and I saw them on 12/29/22 at MSG, that I have loved ever since. Really looking forward to seeing what they do with this one in the studio. The song has already been released as the final track on the 2020 Trey Anastasio solo album of the same name.

I also wrote an essay about the meaning of “Lonely Trip” on the main blog, which includes a lyrical breakdown and some live recordings.

Looking forward to this album for sure.

My first song today was @kaitheczar’s newest video for “DRIFTWOOD” which I first heard over in our independent artists forum. Kaizër (alt + u for the ¨) is a rising Charleston-based hip-hop artist known for his rapid flow. He has been grinding out a following in Charleston’s music scene for the past few years and people are starting to recognize his talent. He released a deluxe edition of his latest album I Exist on January 29th, and “Driftwood” is one of the new songs for the Deluxe edition.

Dope video bro! Thank you for posting it here. Love the juxtaposition between the beach scenes and the snakes and cockroaches. Also the ocean being rough is a cool touch.

Where did you film it? I would love to know more about the project in general.

@chubes answering my own question here – that’s how I ended up doing it. And then the band sent me a new poster so it was a waste of time anyway! Lol

I have this tour poster from Twen that has dummy data on it for date/venue, and I want to print it out and get it hung up around town this week.

I’m gonna use Gimp to replace the “DATE TIME” and “VENUE” with the date/time and the venue.

They sent me a .psd file. I opened it up and I can see all the layers but I’m not sure exactly how to edit the text layers without simply deleting what’s there and replacing it with my own.

Is that the proper way to do it?

Goose side project Orebelo just released “Rockdale” and announced their debut album out June 7th

I like this, the acoustic vibe is chill. I’m not really as into Goose as I once was after seeing their set at Peach last summer. I’m not opposed to getting back into them but for some reason they just don’t seem genuine to me anymore. It feels a little bit manufactured

Orebolo is an acoustic side project by Rick Mitarotonda, Jeff Arevalo, Peter Anspach of Goose. They just announced their debut album, The Chateau, due out June 7th. The first single is “Rockdale” which is a song that Goose plays all the time. Actually one of my favorite Goose songs even though the one they played at Peach didn’t really do it for me last summer. This is a good song and it’s cool that they’re putting an album out.

Here’s the tracklist from the album

    The Chateau Tracklist

    Rosewood Heart

    Rockdale

    Turned Clouds

    Amongster

    Tumble

    Drone on Bb

    Last Train Home

    Dripfield

Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis

Wow that’s a pretty good prize for a party! I love a good LAN party, I used to set up and play Warcraft in my parents’ basement with my brothers during the holidays. So much fun being in the same room while playing those deep focus games, for some reason.

I put in for an RSVP to this at the last minute but I didn’t get in I guess. I will have to make it out to the next one.
