The saying goes that you’ve got to sell your soul to make it in the music industry. Not many people know just how true that is. I almost revoked the deal after Bob Dylan spilled his guts during a television interview with 60 minutes in 2004.
He’ll be paying for that one for a long time.

Several more have struck the eternal bargain, but I won’t reveal it just yet…
Who’s got a hunch?
in reply to: Developer LogSome more merging, the Artist Introductions forum was well-intentioned but I combined it into one topic. Most of those threads would just have one post anyway, so new artists who join the forum can simply post once in the introduction thread to introduce themselves to the Community if they so please.
In the future I might make this a requirement before adding the badge, but for now, I just want people to sign up and post.
in reply to: Trying to Get Into Tyler ChildersHey thanks @toastedcarrot and @jerrygarcia! I checked out all those songs and I really like them a lot. Especially the last one “Space and Time”
It’s not even his song and he sings it so well!
During my digging I found another really good one called “Bottles and Bibles”
Glad I found this cool new place to chat with other Tyler Childers fans 🙂
in reply to: Developer Log- Combined “Mainstream Pop Music” with “Music Industry General” – there seems to be significant overlap between these topics, and since we are still small I am trying my best to consolidate the boards
I will be adding a “collapse” icon to each forum header that makes it easier to scroll down the page. Just a minor enhancement but I saw it on another forum and I really like it
in reply to: Thursday Night Open Mic @ Lofi Brewing@qrisg yeah kind of. curated open mic where we can book all these artists who hit us up and give them a place to play
low stakes environment for everybody but also allows us to build a community around EC at PoHo
in reply to: Thursday Night Open Mic @ Lofi BrewingLike open Mike style right?
It sounds like a failure of the legal system to let her out of jail before trial because she could do it again.. Sucks that all these bars and businesses are going out of business or closing and she’s at home on her couch and this poor guy doesn’t have a wife anymore.
This story really sucks. I work out on Folly, and it definitely shook the community out there when this happened…I feel for the family and the people involved.
Thinking about that road, and the speed she was going (65 mph I believe). Just insane that somebody would go that fast on that road at any time under any conditions.
in reply to: What Are You Listening To Right Now?Hey everyone. I stumbled upon this track:
By the description, it looks like it was made by Mono Lloyd. The album appears to be Freak City.
It’s a good listen and was released on Feb. 18 of this year.
Does anyone know anything about this? Thank you.
Call a cab. “There’s no Ubers on folly”. Call ahead of time
Holy shit this is wild. I feel like the entire thing has been made into a spectacle, too. So unfortunate, honestly.
in forum: Music DiscussionSLC Emo from the hands that gave us Dawning and Worlds Worst.
Favorite Track(s): “Rosey” & “Solitary”
Fun fact: the name is based on an inlet in Charleston.
Fun fact 2: the track “To Forget” is named after the Charleston band by the same name.
THIS IS BOGUS!!! No accountability! She a huge scumbag who still doesn’t get the severity of her actions.
