In addition to the thread for the Mondegreen festival itself. I figured it was time to start the thread for Phish general and ongoing discussion.
We’re entering into this grand discussion after 40 years of Phishstory. Again, there are many places to talk about Phish on the internet, but this one is ours.
The catalyst for this thread? a 40 minute “Chalk Dust Torture” played last night in Mexico. Of which I am currently listening to as I type this

The preceding Blaze On is no slouch either. Kinda hilarious shift in gears dropping into CDT the way they did

@qrisg had some good ideas about doing a contest with local up and coming graphic artists or some way of making it a social thing.Still have some time but I’m open to ideas
in reply to: Extra Chill Fest 2024Yes Slim and Moon are locked in and I’ll have a few accompaniments with them thinking like Mike Brown, Abstract, and maybe 1-2 more

Some of Charleston’s most influential and connected people are offering the resources and platform to really help creatives thrive and thrive in community. Their live music review show, The Listening Party, has been the driving force behind creating the space for local artists to play their music in front of a group of highly experienced creatives, artists, musicians, etc.
Every Monday-Kris, Jordan, and Mike are joined with a rotating cast of people that give honest, thorough, and constructive criticism to anyone that submits their music. They listen, review, and film The Listening Party live at Blue Note Bistro and stream the show live on Facebook and Instagram via their Facebook pages and The SC Artist Development IG page. They’ve recently took the platform a step further by incorporating Mix n Melodies which is a live show featuring artists that are on the SCAD radar.
I was blessed to be one of three artists to perform at their first event of the year in February 28th. BluFlame James and Starr Queen, also hit the stage with the backing of DJ Huncho and The Greg Lonely Experience (band). The high energy and genuine, mutual support of The Listening Party squad, translated in realtime as Blue Note Bistro was filled with music, networking, dancing, laughter, and community.
With all this being said, SC Artist Development is a true #GxldApproved vision. Dedicated to elevating and showcasing the immense amount of talent in South Carolina!
in forum: CharlestonI recently went to this cool, Louisiana inspired, restaurant in Park Circle called “LoLa”. It’s black owned and is by far one of the best cajun places I’ve ever experienced. No ‘eggsaggs’, its truly scrumptious. Prices are very nice, portions fire, CLEAN deep southern cuisine. AND they have live music on Tuesdays. Definitely worth the visit next time you’re in Park Circle!
