Is there a better way links to Spotify can be embedded into/appear in a comment? See my link in the Jerry Thread.

It’s nice the way YouTube links show up for an easy click but if I’m sharing music, I’m typically doing it from Spotify and it’d look a lottt nicer if it was a scrawling essay of a hyperlink.

Yeah if you just copy the Spotify or YouTube link and paste it directly into the text box, without using the link button, it will automatically convert into an embed. I’ll fix the ones you posted and modify the tip!

Got another one for ya (just a suggestion/preference rather than a bug) –

When replying to peeps in threads, I don’t think there should be a difference between ‘reply’ and ‘quote.’ Imo it should just be the ‘quote’ function under the title ‘reply’.

Reason being rn if I ‘reply’ to someone, even if that user gets the notification that I replied to them, someone else that’s late to the thread isn’t gonna immediately know who I’m replying to unless they piece tg the context (see my Mississippi Half-Step ‘reply’ in the Jerry Thread).

Peep the forum over on Phish.net if you want a good example of this. I think it’ll be helpful in future if threads get busy/go on for days

So, it should be either simply reply to the full conversation by going straight to the text box, or quote an individual person with the quote button. That does make sense. I can implement it today.

Looks like the mentioning is core functionality and I just have to add it to the notifications. Should be able to knock this one out pretty quickly

Oh that’s because I edited the comment, so it sent a second one.

Uploading pics is a maybe feature… I don’t want to fill up my whole server so fast…

I think so? The time stamp was off (one of them should read 11:15) but I did get 2:

Also I tried dropping an image of this from my desktop but couldn’t. Uploading pics might need to become a necessity unless my morning brain just isn’t able to figure it out rn

I actually have this really crazy idea…

Which is making a plugin that automatically uploads images to Imgur and then brings them back here to post. Giving the illusion of uploading without actually taking up space on my server.

It’s in the think tank.

Hey, really cool music forum man! I just noticed that when you follow somebody it only switches the one button you pressed to following but if their profile is on the page multiple times the button still says follow!

I also saw a couple of places where the formatting seemed to get messed up. Look in the Tyler Childers topic I started to see where the smiley face got huge. I think the quoting functionality could be made a bit more user friendly in general.

Either way, I like it here a lot so far and I can tell you’ve put a lot of effort into making it cool! Excited to be one of the earliest regulars.

Yeah… quotes & nested replies are still on my list. Check out the developer log to see what I’m actively working on.

I’ve had a couple posts that never went through. I clicked submit, and it just doesn’t post and then it erases and then I get sad.
