extrachill.com comments and extrachill.com articles are now included on user profiles and also included in the forum points count. Except it doesnt (currently) count posts with more than one author.
2 points for each comment and 5 points for each article. I’ve published over 2000 Extra Chill articles which is why I now have so many points.
I may need to adjust the rank system for the higher ranks as it seems the top point ranks are quite unachievable at this rate. 2000 extra chill articles gets me 10,000 points and I’m 1/500 of the way to the top rank. Lol.
Feel free to suggest rank ideas, i will be fine-tuning the system as we go.

chubesHMFICRank: Frozen Foods IslePoints: 10570.25Just found this band on Spotify. This song has some vibes. I like how it’s chill and soulful but also has some heavier elements of plain old rock & roll to it, in terms of the way it’s arranged. Sounds creative an inspired to me.
From Louisville, Kentucky. Three piece rock band.
chubesHMFICRank: Frozen Foods IslePoints: 10570.25I actually finished it tonight and decided to install the plugin on the live site. Now, if you log in here, you can leave a comment on Extra Chill with your Community account.
Similarly, if you’re on Extra Chill and you’re not logged in, you can log in to your Community account there.
This is likely to make the Community grow some, and create sustainable long-term growth.
Next up is getting a feed of main site comments on this website, and giving users points for their comments on the main site like they get for posts here.
If you thought this forum was cool already, you haven’t seen anything yet. The foundation is set to turn this thing into an absolute beast of a website and it’s probably going to blow up.
Thanks to the early adopters.
chubesHMFICRank: Frozen Foods IslePoints: 10570.25Hey this is super chill, thanks for sharing!
chubesHMFICRank: Frozen Foods IslePoints: 10570.25I have successfully achieved the “Single Sign On” feature on my staging site. This means that very soon, there will be a seamless login experience between extrachill.com and community.extrachill.com. No matter where you are when you log in, you can engage with everything.
I am now testing everything and setting up the upvote feature before adding it to the live site.
I’m expecting to launch this on Sunday or Monday.
chubesHMFICRank: Frozen Foods IslePoints: 10570.25I’ve gotta say, as much as I love Bonnaroo, their latest “Halfaroo” announcement is straight up moronic. It’s yet another reminder of how Live Nation ruins all the things we love.
I’m still going to Bonnaroo, but this is some serious cash-grab BS. 2 day tickets that still allow camping and marketing it as halfaroo is borderline offensive to the root of the brand.
Part of the joy of Bonnaroo is the communal experience of going through four days of triumph with 60,000 people all camping in a dusty, muddy field together.
I hate it. And it makes me even more determined to try and change something about the music industry for the better as Extra Chill continues to grow. That’s basically the idea at the root of this music forum anyway.
chubesHMFICRank: Frozen Foods IslePoints: 10570.25“Sitting In Limbo” 9/1/74 – saxophone by Martin Fierro. Smooth like butter and before Jerry got into heroin
chubesHMFICRank: Frozen Foods IslePoints: 10570.25I’m sharing bugs publicly because it’s a reminder for myself but it also keeps track of the history of this website which I think is cool.
A couple of them today that have been giving me grief:
– Links to other WordPress websites showing up as embeds in recent, following, and upvoted feeds, causing a blank space. I fixed this in the main loop but it still persists in my custom feeds.– Trying to add a visual aid under Quoted content in the post editor so that users don’t accidentally mess up their own formatting
– Working on moderation filters so that people can post links without having to be manually flagged for review– Stopping Russian Spam Bots – which have already started to create a few accounts per day. Will check them off as I go.

I think so? The time stamp was off (one of them should read 11:15) but I did get 2:

Also I tried dropping an image of this from my desktop but couldn’t. Uploading pics might need to become a necessity unless my morning brain just isn’t able to figure it out rn
I actually have this really crazy idea…
Which is making a plugin that automatically uploads images to Imgur and then brings them back here to post. Giving the illusion of uploading without actually taking up space on my server.
It’s in the think tank.
chubesHMFICRank: Frozen Foods IslePoints: 10570.25Oh that’s because I edited the comment, so it sent a second one.
Uploading pics is a maybe feature… I don’t want to fill up my whole server so fast…
chubesHMFICRank: Frozen Foods IslePoints: 10570.25@marleyfacedboy now here’s a question. when you quoted me, did it give you a notification that said you mentioned yourself?
chubesHMFICRank: Frozen Foods IslePoints: 10570.25I’m also going to High Water, and am interested on seeing what Noah Kahan brings to a live show. For his fame though, I guess ultimately it will depend what happens when he releases his next album. He’s got one viral hit album and he blew up. It’s going to be hard to sustain that if he can’t blow everybody’s mind with the next album.
As a 30 year old boomer who’s never been on TikTok I can’t really speak to that aspect of it, but I do respect the hustle. He was able to game the algorithm and it made him mega famous and if he doesn’t blow his money he’ll never have to work another day in his life. And he’s only 27 right now. We’ll see how it unfolds.
Taylor Swift has been around forever, she has snowballed over time to her current status as the most famous American artist in the world. Her fame is something that will be studied in the future. It’s insane how famous she is really. I’m not a Taylor Swift hater at all. It’s still just bullshit that she won everything because it’s so clearly all about trying to cash in on the T Swift mega fame gravy train.
