I always love hearing Grateful Dead songs played by other artists. This is a place to collect them.

I’ll start with Neal Casal’s version of “Ship of Fools.” Such a good song.

I’ll keep adding to this thread as I come across more gems.

This one’s a great Loser. Really gets that good down-on-your-luck tone across so well

Fell in love with this one recently. She took an otherwise forgettable track off of American Beauty and made it something special

Also, inb4 this thread just becomes Day of the Dead spam

I won’t allow that! That “Loser” was awesome btw.

How about Eggy doing “Jack Straw” at Charleston Pour House?

Got another one… I think it counts. Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros with Tyler Childers on vocals is really cool. Childers is one of those vocalists that I’d like to hear sing just about anything.

    Yeah, that Eggy fux.

That Wolf Bros is cheating…but I’ll allow it. We missed Ty Chi doing it with his band Roo ’23. Sadface

So bob weir came out and played with billy for 2x nights in nashville. You can watch it if you have a nugs.net account. SO bob weir comes in and surprises everyone for the second set. In the nugs video, the camera is on the front row and you see people go bonkers!! its awesome.

Dave Matthews Band plays “Eyes of the World” just a couple days after Jerry died.

Vampire Weekend – “Peggy O” – Played last week on Sirius XM.

I’ve never really been a fan of Vampire Weekend  but I do love “Peggy O.” I know it’s not really a Dead song but they played it all the time and it’s one of my favorites.

Something about that VW sound, I still can’t really get on board even when they’re playing a song I love. I guess I don’t like the repetitive way they build songs nor do i really enjoy the tone of that acoustic guitar.

He’s wearing a String Cheese Incident t-shirt though

I’m lowkey hyped to see VW crossing more and more over into the jam scene. The rattle of that tambourine doesn’t do it for me here but everything else I’m buying
