The Kernal, Mechanical River, and She Returns From War to Play The Royal American

On Tuesday, July 31st, there’s a great night of country/americana music at The Royal American. The Kernal will be stopping through from Jackson, Tennessee, and will be bringing with them sounds from their 2017 album LIGHT COUNTRY. “Light Country” is pretty much exactly what The Kernal sounds like, and that gets rounded out by the signature red Opry suit seen in the photo above.

Joining The Kernal at The Royal American that night will be two hometown favorites, Mechanical River and She Returns From War, both of whom have been doing their thing in Charleston for quite some time. Mechanical River released a full-length album called Posterity back in 2017, and is fresh off a Northeast tour this past May that included a stop at The Wild Honey Pie’s Welcome Campers festival. She Returns From War has a new album coming out later this year, and the lead single, “Dream Machine”, was released in May.
