The Elovaters – “All Her Favorite Songs” (with Little Stranger)

On Friday, Boston-based reggae band The Elovaters released a new single, “All Her Favorite Songs,” with help from Charleston’s beloved quirky hip-hop duo Little Stranger.
The track describes a sensual evening, with various cheeky references to well-known songs serving as euphemisms. A laidback beat emphasizes a sort of relaxed hedonism that mirrors the lyrics. “Wake the neighbor / Cause we’re too loud,” the track repeats.
Lighthearted wordplay abounds, conjuring images of dancing from the kitchen to the bed. Little Stranger brings their brand of down-to-earth rapping to close out the track: “You know she’s staying up all night / Cause sugar we’re going down swinging / Alright?”
