Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers to Perform at North Charleston Coliseum in March
Published: October 30, 2019Last month, Sturgill Simpson dropped into Joe Rogan’s podcast for the fourth time, and during his time on air he casually mentioned that he would be going on tour with Tyler Childers next year. Then, earlier this week, tour posters started popping up at music venues around the country. Finally, as of yesterday, A Good Look’n Tour was officially announced, and it includes arena dates all over the country.
The Good Look’n Tour will include a stop through Charleston on Tuesday, March 10th, 2020 at the North Charleston Coliseum. Tickets are on sale next Friday, November 8th at 10am. You can get yours here.
This is a huge tour announcement, and one that fans of both artists have been hoping for for quite some time. Sturgill Simpson has been a country music living legend ever since he was seen busking outside the CMAs with his Grammy Award for Best Country Album in his guitar case (and probably long before that). He produced Tyler Childers’ 2017 breakout album Purgatory, and he also produced Childers’ newest album, 2019’s Country Squire. Sturgill also has a new record of his own on the airwaves, the fantastic SOUND & FURY, which has been all the buzz among music fans since its release last month.
I think you can probably gather that this show, and probably this entire tour, is going to sell out very quickly. In case you didn’t know, the last time Tyler Childers played in Charleston, he played two nights at the Charleston Music Hall, and both nights sold out months in advance of the show. That was before Country Squire was even announced, and it was sans the much-more-popular Sturgill Simpson. We had the pleasure of attending that performance. Read about it and see some photos here.
Set your alarms for 10am on 11/8, and see full tour dates below.
