Sorry, Peach are a 6-piece all-female indie pop band based in Spartanburg, SC. Yesterday, they released a new single called “Bully”. The song is their first release of new music since their 2019 debut album, Don’t Ask If I’m Okay, off which the track “Solitude” landed a spot on our best South Carolina songs of 2019 list. Sorry, Peach is currently in the process of recording their second album.
“Bully” is thematically focused on a feeling of hopelessness that can come from a bad relationship. The song begins to explore this feeling with a layered electronic beat that is driven by a haunting bassline. The vocals are also similarly layered, with vocal effects on the side that further dive into the well of anxiety that Sorry, Peach seems to draw from creatively.
