SOLD OUT: Liz Cooper & The Stampede to Open for Tyler Childers at the Pour House
    Published: May 30, 2018

On Saturday, June 2nd, The Pour House is hosting one of the best shows to come through Charleston in a long time. Those were my thoughts even before Nashville’s Liz Cooper & the Stampede were announced as openers. Tyler Childers is one of the best country artists out there right now, making real country music with lyrical value far outside of the drivel you hear at tailgates and frat parties. His newest album Purgatory was co-produced by Sturgill Simpson, who is on the same level as Childers in terms of genuineness and is probably my top played record of 2018 so far.

It seems like I wasn’t the only one who was stoked to see that Tyler Childers is stopping through Charleston, either, because the show has been sold out for months. The show sold out long before Liz Cooper & the Stampede joined the bill and thus making it a lineup that really can’t be beaten when it comes to a venue the size of the Pour House.

Liz Cooper & the Stampede have been one of my favorite up-and-coming artists ever since I discovered their Audiotree live session back in 2016. One song that stood out to me in particular from that session was “Mountain Man”, for which the band recently released the studio version as the lead single from their upcoming full-length debut Window Flowers. The debut album will be released on August 10th on the band’s own Sleepyhead Records.

If you were lucky enough to snag tickets to this one while they were still available, you better get there in time to see Liz Cooper & the Stampede. If you don’t, you’re doing yourself a major disservice.
