Salti Ray – “The Right Thing”

Spartanburg indie rock band Salti Ray have just released a new single called “The Right Thing”, which comes from their upcoming EP The Right Thing, recently announced for release on September 25th.
“The Right Thing” is my favorite song to come from Salti Ray yet. It’s the heaviest of the three tracks in their repertoire thus far, and takes a step away from the beachy vibes of “N.C. Sunshine” and “Ocean City” towards a more emotional tone that in my humble opinion is better in every single way. It builds throughout towards a cathartic guitar solo that then leads into an outro allows vocalist and frontlady Mary Norris to really show off her range, which I just have to say damn, she can sing.
Here’s to hoping that the rest of the songs on The Right Thing EP are in the realm of this song. Listen to “The Right Thing” by Salti Ray below and stay tuned for more news on that EP.
