South Carolina rapper Lo’ Kuntry has made a name for himself over the past few years by crafting rhymes filled with personality and pairing them with often comedic music videos. We first caught the wave with the “Really Going” video in the summer of 2020, which Lo’ Kuntry promoted by purchasing a billboard space on I-95.
Today we’re happy to premiere the newest single from Lo’ Kuntry, “Oculus”, which is paired with a music video filmed by Yaboyedollaz. The single officially drops tomorrow, but you can listen a day early right here on Extra Chill.
“Oculus” comes from Lo’ Kuntry’s upcoming EP Tsunami Kid, which features the rapper getting back to his roots and focusing on actually rapping in his own voice, rather than his usual uptempo and auto-tuned sound. The EP and track titles are based around the technology that we see rolling out every day, making our lives simpler yet more complicated at the same time.
