Still fresh off the release of her sophomore album, Punisher back in June, Phoebe Bridgers continues the hot year (despite quarantine) with the announcement this afternoon of the Copycat Killer EP. The EP was arranged in collaboration with Rob Moose, and features reworked orchestral versions of four songs that were included on Punisher: “Kyoto,” “Savior Complex,” “Chinese Satellite,” and “Punisher”.
The Copycat Killer EP will see release digitally on November 20th, and physically on November 27th. Today we get a little preview of the EP in the form of a reworked version of “Kyoto”, which was the lead single off Punisher and now leads us into the Copycat Killer EP. The track was released today along with an official video/visualizer. This version is hella tight, if I do say so myself.
