PATx – “Platypus”

PATx is a South Carolina hip-hop artist and filmmaker who has been in the scene for several years. His style mixes alternative rock and hip-hop and the music is generally fairly dark. Today he dropped a Soundcloud exclusive called “Platypus” that strikes a balance between aggression and lightheartedness, as Pat opens the track with some facts about Platypi, yet builds up to some screaming vocals and lyrics about making a deal with the devil. This is in a similar wheelhouse as Black Dave’s most recent release, EP 000005.
You’ll also hear PATx featured on the collaborative Amethyst in SC project, with a verse on the single “Straight to the Bank”. The full album is coming next Friday, June 19th. Learn more here.
