With the Farm Aid 2016 Lineup having just been released, I wanted to share this awesome video from Farm Aid 1998. Can you think of a more epic jam combo than Neil Young and Phish? I don’t think I can, and this twenty minute video is the perfect reason why. You can sense Trey Anastasio’s pure joy that stems from being on stage with a legend like Neil Young, and they’re playing one of Neil’s best songs, “Down By The River”. I know I say this about a lot of the videos on this site, but to witness a performance like this would be something to remember for a lifetime. Luckily, though, since this was almost 20 years ago, we can watch and listen to the whole thing in HD. Oh, the wonders of technology. Enjoy.
P.S. – the announcers at the end are hilarious.
