This Friday, November 17th there are a great selection of indie bands coming through Palmetto Brewery. Two up-and-coming Charleston bands, Argot and Big Yen will play followed by Nashville-based brotherly duo Airpark, who are currently touring in support of their new Early Works Vol. 2 EP. The show is free and starts at 6pm. Airpark plays from 8 to 10.
The new EP from Airpark features four mostly guitar-driven tracks that serve as a follow-up to Early Works Vol. 1. The sound of Airpark is undeniably indie rock, but on tracks like “Blue Eyed Spaniard” you can hear some Americana influence that adds some much-appreciated spice.
Airpark’s two Early Works EPs are best listened to as part of one longer album. They flow together nicely that way, and considering the titles, I’m assuming that was by design. They’ve got a minimalist sound that evolves along the way, and it makes for a really fun listen. I’ve included streams of both below. Put on your beer blanket this Friday night and go check them out at Palmetto Brewing!
