Mo Lowda & The Humble – “Snowbird”
    Published: September 13, 2021

Philadelphia-based indie rock outfit Mo Lowda & The Humble released “Snowbird” on Friday, their first single of the year. It’s a guitar-driven track that delivers the vibrant, energetic sound we love from the band while also expressing an unexpected tone of melancholy through wistful lyrics.

Singer Jordan Caiola’s soaring vocals carry “Snowbird” from start to finish as he reminisces on a time when a bird would appear to him on his windowsill during the lonely winter. “You’d always seem to ease my mind,” he sings. “And I’m missing you still.”

It’s later revealed the bird might not have been a bird at all when Caiola sings that he thought he saw it “Head-to-toe in your winter blues / and that sherpa coat that I bought you when you were mine.” “Snowbird” poses a poignant reminder to cherish those who bring warmth to our coldest days, metaphorically speaking.

You can catch Mo Lowda & The Humble back in Charleston next Saturday, September 18th at the Windjammer with Easy Honey.

P.S. – Mo Lowda also recently had their tour van stolen in Philadelphia. A GoFundMe has been started to recoup the losses. Learn more here.
