Charleston hip-hop artist and Feungshui God Lo’Kuntry released a new EP, Nights in the Kuntry, on September 1. The six-song project is Lo’Kuntry’s second release this year, and it gives listeners a taste of what life is like for someone from his part of South Carolina.
Each of the brand-new tracks is titled in reference to a geographical location or landmark in the Lowcountry. The album opens with “Midway Circle,” followed by “North End.” Lo’Kuntry collaborates with fellow SC rapper 2C Gump on “Abercorn St” midway through the album, and next up is “South End.” Nights in the Kuntry closes with “The Gardens” and grand finale “Hwy 17.”
The songs showcase Lo’Kuntry’s talent as a rapper as well as his ability to serve up unique and interesting beats. We’re hoping to see some Lo’Kuntry signature music videos, which are energetic, creative, and funny as hell, paired with tunes from Nights in the Kuntry soon.
In the meantime, be sure to follow him on Instagram and check out his Youtube page to catch a glimpse of that infectious personality.
