JD Moon – “The Town” ft. Teddy

JD Moon released a new single, “The Town,” on Friday. The track features rapper Teddy and is the artist’s first release since his song “Tell Me” dropped last summer.
“The Town” is mellow and a little sad. Dulcet vocals open the song, and the rap verses add contrast. Lyrically, the track is an exploration of conflicted feelings over a love interest. “I will always be around / At the gates of your town” is a line that displays lingering affection, while “Trying to get the best / So I never come back to you” hints at a desire not to fall back into a situation with the person.
Ultimately, though, the song ends with a grasp for devotion: “Show me you’re mine for good.” The beat is deep and moody, and electronic touches emphasize the overall emotional quality of the track.
