Human Resources to Open for Drivin N Cryin at the Charleston Music Hall
    Published: June 19, 2019

Drivin N Cryin are set to continue their Thanksgiving tradition at the Charleston Music Hall on Friday, November 29th. This is the third year in a row that they’ve held a concert in Charleston on the day after Thanksgiving. In 2018 they were joined by the High Divers, and in 2019 they will be joined by Human Resources. Tickets are $22 in advance, and $25 day-of-show. They’ll be on sale here this Friday at 10am.

The main difference this year is that Drivin N Cryin will have a brand new album out by the time this show rolls around. Their new record, Live The Love Beautiful, will be released this Friday, June 21st, on the same day that tickets for this show go on sale.

We recently sat down with Drivin N Cryin bass player Tim Nielsen to talk about Live The Love Beautiful, which comes more than 30 years after the release of their 1986 debut Scarred But Smarter. Our conversation dove into both the making of the album and the band’s long-spanning history. You can read that here.

This will be the first time that Human Resources plays the Charleston Music Hall, and it’ll be a great opportunity for them not only to play on such a badass stage, but also to reach a bunch of fans that have probably never heard of them. It’s no secret that Drivin N Cryin will bring an older crowd, and Human Resources is accustomed to late nights at The Royal American. Those crowds typically don’t mix, but on November 29th they will, and we’ll be there to witness it.
