Human Resources released a video for their new single, “Orange Tree,” last week. Much like the track itself, the visual accompaniment, which was directed, filmed, and edited by Dries Vandenberg, is sun-soaked and perfect for the close of summer.
For the entirety of the video, the Human Resources band members are strolling along the beach, each wearing their own pair of trendy plastic shades, singing and gesturing into the camera. The lyrics scroll by on the bottom of the video in bright green, making for an ironic sort of singalong.
Of course, being a track that mentions picking dead fruit off an orange tree, oranges abound in the video, as does orange juice. Overall the video is a fun watch, ultimately exuding playfulness, even though the track is lyrically complex.
