High Water Festival Comes to North Charleston’s Riverfront Park April 22-23rd, 2017
Published: November 15, 2016
High Water Festival is something we’ve all been wanting to happen for the longest time. This is Charleston’s very own music festival, curated by Charleston’s beloved local duet, Shovels & Rope. The festival lineup includes the likes of The Avett Brothers, The Shins, Dawes, Matthew Logan Vasquez, Deer Tick, Julien Baker, and many more awesome bands and artists. High Water Festival is going to take place at North Charleston’s Riverfront Park on the weekend of April 22-23rd, 2017. This is such huge news for the lowcountry, with over 20 acts to take the stage in Charleston. We’ve never had a festival of this size in the area, and I can only hope that this is the first of many.
Thank you so much to Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent of Shovels & Rope for taking the time and effort to plan High Water Festival and finally bring a music festival of this magnitude to Charleston. Early Bird Tickets go on sale here this Friday, November 18th at 10am at a price of $99.50. There are 3 tiers of general admission tickets, which will gradually increase in price as each tier sells out. There is also a VIP Package available for $274.50. High Water Festival is something that music fans living in Charleston simply can’t afford to miss, and I’m sure this festival will bring in people from all around looking to experience a weekend of great music, food, and beer.
Speaking of food and beer, there will be plenty of it available at Riverfront Park. Word on the street is that local breweries are getting involved, and I’m sure that means there will also be some of Charleston’s favorite food trucks serving up the good stuff as well.
