High Water Festival 2019 (Photos)

Photo: Scarlet Bucket On the weekend of April 13th and 14th, 2019, the third annual High Water Festival took place at North Charleston’s Riverfront Park. The festival is curated by home-grown Charleston duo Shovels & Rope, who released their new studio album, By Blood, on Friday, April 12th. The festival centers around a vibe that’s in line with the americana-driven rock that Shovels & Rope plays, and each year’s lineup has reflected that thus far.
The 2019 lineup featured headliners Leon Bridges and The Head and the Heart alongside Shovels & Rope, with an undercard that included Lord Huron, Dr. Dog, Jenny Lewis, Mitski, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Phosphorescent, J. Roddy Walston & The Business, The War & Treaty, Durand Jones & The Indications, Butch Walker, Blitzen Trapper, Ranky Tanky, Hayes Carll, The Secret Sisters, Shrimp Records Family Band, Lera Lynn, Lilly Hiatt, Michael Nau, Thelma & The Sleaze.
