Over the past few years, Greenville-based creative Keiz Ali has been involved in a number of podcast and video production projects, including 100 episodes of the Just Another Week lifestyle podcast and two seasons of the relationship podcast, The Ex-Factor. He has also written for a few podcasts, and is currently working with a network, as well as producing and editing content for the food show, What’s On The Plate TV.
Keiz Ali’s newest creation is a passion project in the music scene that involves in-depth interviews with local artists. The interview project is a collaborative effort with fellow Greenville creative Neko Smoke, as well as Ali’s longtime collaborator J. Carter. Going hand-in-hand with the sit-down interviews are the bi-weekly episodes of Ali & Smoke: A Carolina Playlist, where they feature a hot new track from a local artist and talk with them via Zoom about their music.
Yesterday, Keiz Ali released his recent sit-down interview with 3am Records CEO Snaxk Boy as well as label artists FrntStSkyy, LA Kenzie, and Nip Gee for a 30 minute discussion with the artists about their collaboration and experience within the label. Other artists featured for these long-form sit down interviews have been Greenville notable rappers Maxx Good$ and Shyland Flowers. Ali is always planning his next episode, and says “if I think you are dope I’ll link with you”. So hit him on Instagram @keizali to get connected.
