Easy Honey dropped a new song, “Orbiter,” this week. The track is paired with a music video set in Colorado, filmed by Garrett Cardoso and Brendan McGlone.
“Orbiter” is, in one sense, guitar-driven and packed with head-banging intensity, yet in another, sunny with upbeat pop sensibility, showing two styles with which the band is able to simultaneously experiment.
Lyrically, “Orbiter” is filled with images of outer space, explosions, and euphoric disorientation. “Someone tell me how the hell I got here / Someone tell me who the hell I am,” the chorus requests.
The music video is drenched in orange light, showing the band jumping around on rocks outside of Pueblo and Denver, Colorado. Hyper-saturated colors create a sense of the whimsy that fits well with the far-out imagery the track explores.
