Drivin’ N Cryin’ to Play The Windjammer on Saturday, June 17th
    Published: June 15, 2017

This Saturday night Atlanta’s Drivin’ N Cryin’ will celebrate their 30th anniversary at The Windjammer in Isle of Palms. Joining them will be Mark Bryan of Hootie & The Blowfish, and opening the night will be Passenger Pigeon, a band led by Mark Bryan’s son Kenny. Tickets are $15 in advance, and $20 at the door. Doors open at 9pm, music starts at 10. Tickets here.

In the 30 years since their formation, Drivin’ N Cryin’ has released 10 full length albums, one of which went gold (1991’s Fly Me Couragous), and a few EPs. The band’s music is hailed by many as one of the greatest southern rock acts of our time, and in 2015 they were inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. They have undergone some lineup changes and experienced the turmoil that comes with fame, but founding members Kevin Kinney and Tim Nielson still stand at the root of it all, ready to rock us for years to come.

Check out this 2012 performance of their hit song “Straight to Hell” back in 2012, and get out to The Windjammer on Saturday night to see the legends themselves performing live.
