Drink With Jesus One Last Time at Theatre 99
Published: July 20, 2017
Drinking With Jesus is a one-man comedy show that premiered in November 2016 at Theatre 99, and this Saturday, July 22nd the show will return for the last time before writer and performer Hunter Gardner makes a move to New York City. The show explores the problem of finding a balance between virtue and vice, and warns against getting too wrapped up in either drinking or Jesus.
Gardner created the show with his friend Henry Riggs, one half of Charleston-based sketch comedy group Nameless Numberhead. Riggs serves as director and and Gardner the actor, and the two have collaborated on a number of projects over the years.
You can catch the final Charleston performance of Drinking With Jesus on July 22nd starting at 10pm sharp. Tickets are $12 and the show will run for about an hour. Get your tickets here. Just so you know, Theatre 99 serves beer. See a teaser video for Drinking With Jesus below.
