Doom Flamingo released a new single, “Lux Noir,” last week. The track is paired with a music video shot by Paul Chelmis.
“Lux Noir” both sonically and visually exemplifies its title: the song is a darkly glamorous synth wave track with a mood reminiscent of the songs on the band’s Doom EP.
Most of the video shows singer Kanika Moore and friends dancing in a private room in a club, Moore decked out in glow-in-the-dark body paint like some kind of goddess. Her voice is rich and expressive, the standout as always.
“I feel faceless” she sings at one point, mirroring the somewhat hallucinatory atmosphere of the song. Operatic echoes are a fun touch, and zooming electronic beats maintain a futuristic mood.
The track was mixed by Coast Records and mastered by For The Record Mastering. Watch the video for “Lux Noir” by Doom Flamingo below.
