“Sensitive Woman,” the first single of the year from DONAWA, the solo project of Patrick Morris (one half of the brother duo The Mobros), was released last week.
It’s a love song, which is made clear by the opening line, “I try to be good / And I want to be as sweet as you are to me.” While the lyrics are fairly introspective throughout the track, musically, the sound is bright and carefree.
The quick pace, set by rapid guitar and percussion, gives “Sensitive Woman” a breezy feel. At places the sound slows down for just a moment to provide extra emphasis on the lyrics. Jake Cochran (Illiterate Light) helped produce the song with Corey Campbell (Babe Club), who also provided the mixing. It was mastered by Dan Shike.
