Die Spitz – Austin, TX (Punk / Metal)
-
Die Spitz are a band from the Austin music scene that are really buzzing right now. I had the chance to see them during SXSW and was super impressed. There is something about an all-girl band playing metal that is just some of the coolest shit ever. Especially when they rip this hard.
They have two more singles coming out later this month, plus some videos. Just listen to this shit and tell me it doesn’t get you fired up… you can’t
Another new release from Die Spitz, “Little Flame.” That last one was a ripper, and this one is a lot more mellow. Goes to show how talented they are, and also falling in line with the “genre-less” trend in modern music that I talk about all the time.
This band is going to blow up. When I was in Austin, everybody was talking about them. It’s only a matter of time before they break out of that scene and start doing bigger tours.
I didn’t like Little Flame as much as i hate when girls die.
They released a video for I hate when GIRLs die yesterday.
Were recommended on a show…. for good reason. They BRING it.
@timayarlay dude hell yeah! That is one of the first bands I saw when I was in town and they ripped. So much so that it inspired me to start this thread a few months ago. Glad you’re on that wave too!
@chubes Seen them LIVE…..Dang! Had to be some serious energy in the venue…very cool
Die Spitz played a bunch of shows in Austin during SXSW, only a month after they sold out Mohawk.
Perhaps the most memorable was their set on the front porch of 13th Floor on Friday afternoon. They shut down the whole street with a huge crowd gathered out front in the 90 degree heat.

Wish i could have been there but I was at Radio East seeing Being Dead at the time (who are another great Austin band)
