Daddy’s Beemer dropped a new single, “Heart Attack,” on Friday. It follows “Ballerina” in the band’s string of recent releases.
“Heart Attack” begins with paired-down instrumentation, steady bass and simple guitar forming the background against which Brady Sklar gently sings. “It isn’t fair / No more truth or dare,” he says.
The track makes a quick shift to a bigger sound as Sklar belts “I wanna scream.” It’s the kind musical synchronicity that Daddy’s Beemer does well. Drums and bass begin to drive the single from here on out, raw energy melding with melodious exuberance.
