Contour – “New Garden” (Video)

Back in April, I sat down for an interview with Contour’s Khari Lucas, and he mentioned a then-unreleased song that he felt was one of the best he’d ever written. That song is “New Garden”, and it was officially released this morning along with a music video via NTS Radio. According to Khari, he wrote “New Garden” over the course of one full day, starting with a moment of inspiration in the morning that led him into his creative zone.

The video for “New Garden” was filmed and directed by Child Studio during Khari’s recent trip to London to play a set at All Points East. The performance was facilitated by NTS Radio, where Contour has been part of their WIP program in which they help emerging artists develop their craft. You can learn more about that program here.

This Saturday, August 24th, Contour will be performing at The Senate in Columbia for Freeway Music Festival. Khari says that this may be Contour’s final South Carolina performance of 2019, so if you’ve been meaning to see Contour and you find yourself in Columbia this weekend, you should probably go to Freeway Music Festival.
