Richland County rapper CashDaGawd released his first single of the new year, “Francis Ford Coppola,” today. The artist, who was featured on the track “Temporary Moments (Love)” from Toni Esther’s 2021 album The Vulnerability Project, teamed up with rapper Gelato Wilson on the song.
The beat, which was crafted by producer Scout Verity, is chill and steady. CashDaGawd raps precise, unhurried verses with pleasing repetition and clever rhymes like “Life’s a right of passage / I wanna view the atlas.” A jazzy tune ambles on in the background of the track, adding a laying of sophistication. We hope to hear more tracks like this from the rapper as we move further into 2022.
