Casey Malanuk Returns to Charleston for Royal American Show
    Published: June 28, 2018

Earlier this year, Charleston native Casey Malanuk released two full-length albums in a two month period, and then announced that he was moving to Los Angeles. The second of those albums, Short Film Season, earned him some well-deserved attention in the scene, with Stop Light Observations putting him in the spotlight and subsequently skyrocketing his Spotify listener base and introducing many of their fans to this young talent.

It was fitting, too, because John-Keith Culbreth of Stop Light Observations actually helped Casey get started on his musical journey a few years back by recording and producing the debut EP for Casey’s then-band Deep End. Since moving to LA, Casey has released yet another album called Hello & Goodbye, this time with his friend Brendan Fitzpatrick.

Even more fitting is the bill lined up for this coming Monday, July 2nd at The Royal American, a songwriter showcase featuring Casey Malanuk alongside Cubby (John-Keith Culbreth of Stop Light Observations) and Coleman Sawyer of Rare Creatures (formerly Stop Light Observations). I would classify this as one of the many can’t-miss shows that Royal puts on.

Tickets are only $5 at the door, and I would assume it’s going to be packed, so you’ll definitely want to get there early. Doors at 9pm.

Check out all three of Casey’s albums below.
