Charleston-based artist, Brandon Noir just released “Heart 2 Heart” featuring Bree Janae, produced by AyeYoBerg. There are so many things about this song that put me in so many places. Bree Janae, the featured artist is Noir’s wife, and that makes this song even more powerful. It’s rare these days to see a husband and wife execute a song together and do it as real and raw as Brandon and Bree Janae.

Before I even listened to the song, I could feel the beautiful intentions of the work based on Noir’s subtle but clear description: “The lyrics behind this song are inspired by the loss of a loved one. It is an encouraging song that invokes others to preserve and continue striving despite the hardship’s life throws at them”.

They exhibited every aspect of that intention in this beautifully written ballad. This is definitely a song that you put on repeat when you are feeling defeated or transitioning in your life but refusing to quit.

Brandon Noir speaks directly to your soul with a style that is reminiscent of Charleston LEGENDS such as Pachino Dino, Marly Mar, and Mistah Taylor. Bree adds heavy doses of soul, depth, and grace with her heart-soothing vocals.

The pair really raised some vibrations with this one. Noir has a lengthy catalog of bangers, but this one just might be a personal favorite. This song reminds you to hold on to your faith, know you are not alone, and to REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE…and that’s a #GxldApproved message!!
