I’ve gotta say, as much as I love Bonnaroo, their latest “Halfaroo” announcement is straight up moronic. It’s yet another reminder of how Live Nation ruins all the things we love.
I’m still going to Bonnaroo, but this is some serious cash-grab BS. 2 day tickets that still allow camping and marketing it as halfaroo is borderline offensive to the root of the brand.
Part of the joy of Bonnaroo is the communal experience of going through four days of triumph with 60,000 people all camping in a dusty, muddy field together.
I hate it. And it makes me even more determined to try and change something about the music industry for the better as Extra Chill continues to grow. That’s basically the idea at the root of this music forum anyway.
