Beach Sex Takes Off the Ski Masks and Announces Self-Titled EP
Published: August 4, 2017
Charleston’s once-anonymous surf rock band Beach Sex recently took off their ski masks and showed everyone who they really were. I’m not sure if it was the heat of summer that drove them to it or a conscious decision by the band, but with the unmasking came some pretty big news. They announced this morning that they will release their debut self-titled EP on August 24th with a show at Redux. Joining them at Redux will be fellow Charleston bands Whitehall and Hot Showers.
Along with the EP announcement, Beach Sex also released the music video for “Elaine”, a song that will be included on the EP. The video was filmed from a boat in the waters of the lowcountry by drummer DJ Edwards. DJ is also the founder of Real South Records, the label that Whitehall calls home.
Stream the “Elaine” music video below, and head out to Redux on Thursday, August 24th at 8pm to catch the release show.
