André 3000 Announces New Blue Sun Tour
    Published: January 25, 2024

I recently did a write up of André 3000’s New Blue Sun and explained how I felt as a fan, to receive a non verbal album after more than ten years of anticipation from my favorite writer/rapper, André 3000. Ultimately, I was taken aback and drawn into the meditative, tranquil, ease of Dre’s display of mastery on the contrabass flute and so did the world.

From the album’s first week sales surpassing popular hip hop artists artists like Kodak Black, Lil Wayne, Yo Gotti, and Ice Spice, to brandishing the longest song to ever land and stay on the Billboard Hot 100.

Needless to say, despite some pushback, the album was a success in the fact that it is a grand re-introduction to Andre Benjamin and what better way to seal the deal than throwing a multi-city tour.

André is perhaps the most enigmatic of the prolific creatives of our era, so it’s exciting to know that he’s going on a 29-date tour from coast to coast including stops in New York, Michigan, Illinois, Atlanta, and California. The tour starts NEXT WEEK January 29th at The Blue Note in New York and finishing on March 9th at The Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever in Cali. Featured on the tour will be a live ensemble of musicians, such as Carlos Nino and Deantoni Parks, that also accompanied Andre on this 87 minute ‘woosah’  called New Blue Sun.

There’s a 4 nights in Atlanta, GA, which would be the closet location to our hometown of Charleston, SC. Tickets are available now on Ticketmaster!
