All Get Out Releases New Album, Kodak
    Published: June 5, 2022

Charleston-based alt-rock band All Get Out released a new album, Kodak, on Friday. This is the group’s first album release since last year, when they dropped an acoustic version of their 2011 album The Season.

Kodak is a ten-song project that was self-produced, self-engineered, and self-mixed. The songs display All Get Out’s distinct emo-meets-americana sensibility.

A standout is “Sumter,” which was released earlier in the year as a single and is a reference to frontman Nathan Hussey’s upbringing in the small town. Stripped-down vocals and lyrical moments like “You tell me it’s ok / Baby you’re a normie” and “When my mother lost her memory / Choking out the family / I wondered if she missed what was gone” create a poignant emotional landscape.

Each track is layered with genre-bending sonic handiwork and narrative-style word crafting, making it easy to sink into the album and, through it, into an introspective state of mind.

Kodak was released through Equal Vision Records. Stream the album below and catch All Get Out on tour with Motion City Soundtrack this summer.
