You’re welcome.. and, thank you. 🙂
in reply to: Kendrick Lamar ‘Diss’Kendrick dropping another diss, being much more direct and even name dropping sort of seals the deal. No gossip bars. Just his honest opinion, which is much more damaging because he’s saying what we are thinking. IMO Drake has been a bit of a culture vulture and has shapeshifted from ‘pretty boy’ to ‘certified gangsta’. IMO Drake has been a bit of a culture vulture and has shapeshifted from ‘pretty boy’ to ‘certified gangsta’. For Kendrick to have his actual CERTIFIED background and affiliations, it means alot for him to pull that card-amongst the several others he dropped throughout the diss track. It takes a certain level of UMPH to name drop and speak on things highly specific to a single person. He exposed the things that we see and ignore because he is ‘Drake’.
HOWEVER, it sucks that this whole ‘legendary (imaginary) beefs’ thing is spreading into country music, afrobeats, etc. Even Kim K and Taylor swift are beefing. Though I love that Kendrick is proving that its ACTUALLY ‘just big Me’- I hate the domino effect coming with it.
In Summary, Kendrick 21-0
Kendrick Lamar – “Euphoria”

Relevant to this, is the real potential TikTok ban in the United States: https://time.com/6971009/tiktok-banned-restrictions-worldwide-countries-united-states-law/
When we consider that Noah Kahan was made famous primarily through TikTok (owned by a Chinese company), the potential for a conspiracy theory arises. It is plausible to think that the Chinese would push certain types of music with their algorithm.
If Noah Kahan is out there with a negative message, and he appeals to the most impressionable demographic of Americans, perhaps the opportunity arose to tweak the algorithms to favor the rise of this artist. So that he would become mega-famous and spread this kind of hateful message upon the American youth.
Getting really deep into it, you consider the name Noah Kahan, and its coincidental homophone with the word “Khan,” or king in Mongol & Turkic tribal language.
Noah Kahan is a Chinese plant, confirmed....

Kahan is a Jewish name. Lolz. People of tik tok made him famous because he’s a got a wilderness-y folk-y vibe and a man bun. The people love a left leaning nature loving guy from Vermont. Stick season has a catchy basic melody that people with little unique interests can get into.
in reply to: Highwater 2024And my review, which is titled: How High Water Festival Could Do More for Charleston, SC
I talk about the lack of local representation, cultural representation, Liquid Death at $6 per can, and the 25% merch cut that the festival took from artists.
@steveaycockphoto hell yeah man. Frasco is known to always be a party, and the photos capture that. Two sold out nights, wish I could have made it out. Good stuff and thanks again for sharing it here!
in reply to: Brett Nash AppreciationBrett played the first ever show at The Royal American. I have a video of Brett naming all the bands he’s been in and it was like 2 minutes long. Also just the most humble, friendliest guy. Love you Brett.
in reply to: THE LOST ART OF HIDDEN TRACKS ON CDSThere’s a hidden Scarlet > Fire after Saint of Circumstance on Dick’s Pick’s Volume 13.
DP13 is a show from May 6 1981 but this Scarlet > Fire is from 11/1/79
in reply to: THE LOST ART OF HIDDEN TRACKS ON CDSLess Than Jake’s (who played at the Music Farm recently ) “Losing Streak” had a “pregap” track you got to by playing track 1 then rewinding.
Here’s a list of albums with audio before track 1:

in reply to: THE LOST ART OF HIDDEN TRACKS ON CDSThere’s a Wilco song called “Less Than You Think” that is 15 minutes long. But it’s really a 2 minute song followed by 15 minutes straight of distorted white noise. Not a true “hidden track” but similar. Released in 2004.
Sometimes, Wilco can make “distorted white noise” sound good. But here, they don’t even try. It’s not pleasant at all and it’s not supposed to be.
in forum: Music DiscussionI was thinking about the CD age of the 90’s and remembered the trend of hiding “secret tracks” at the end of albums – sometimes 10 minutes after the end of the previous song. What a cool surprise it would be to find a hidden track at the end of “Dookie” by Green Day or “Bitches Ain’t Shit” at the end of Dr Dre’s “The Chronic”.. If anyone else remembers this, please chime in with your favorite hidden tracks. I’ll link a few articles I found that go into a little more...

“Attaching a mic is probably going to change the game in that case”
Yeah, I expect so. Hoping to get my Son to let me do a recording of him doing one of his originals soon – that might be my first try with the nicer microphone.
My website is getting some attention after this show – not blowing up exactly, but more traffic than usual by a margin. My semi-accurate estimate is about 30-40 viewers a day since Sat. Each person is actually looking at almost all of the photos tho’… most of...

My website is getting some attention after this show – not blowing up exactly, but more traffic than usual by a margin. My semi-accurate estimate is about 30-40 viewers a day since Sat. Each person is actually looking at almost all of the photos tho’… most of the time people only scan the gallery kinda quick and only actually open a few photos, so that is in a way a pretty big difference.
Was a fuckin’ excellent show. Gonna be hard to top that experience anytime soon.
@steveaycockphoto hell yeah man! The PoHo def saw it because they re-shared my post about it on Instagram today.
i didn’t realize this was done with just the in-camera audio. Attaching a mic is probably going to change the game in that case
