Dude Eggy is so sick
How were the shows?
RIP Peach Fest
in forum: PhiladelphiaEggy is playing Brooklyn Bowl Philly Friday April 25. I’ve never seen Eggy – anyone going?
Obviously you save money if you buy tickets at the venue rather than thru ticketmaster but it could sell out.
YAM YAM is playing Milkboy Cafe Philly Saturday April 26th
YAM YAM Tickets | $27.61 | Apr 26 @ MilkBoy, Philadelphia | DICE

I’d be surprised if this one sells out so you can prob just show up and get tickets. YAM YAM is one of my favorite bands. They are from Harrisburg and are a high energy jammy jazzy romp. They have played at major festivals like Elements and Peach when it existed. They are mainstays in the central PA music scene and hopefully making a name for themselves to larger audiences. This is one of their first headlining shows in Philly if not the first in Philadelphia (they did headline a show at Ardmore Music Hall recently). Not to be missed.
Also if you’re low on funds and need to check out a free show – Reality Check Experiment is playing. They have been putting on free shows weekly for about a year and have already established themselves as one of Philly’s best psychedelic bands. They play mostly originals but will throw in some covers as well. Plus it’s FREE.
Reality Check Experiment – Doors at 7; Music at 8. 2525 W Girard Ave. Free. BYOB.
See you in on the dance flo’

in reply to: Request New Local Scene ForumsSick – I see it I will put up the upcoming shows I’m checking out once I get a chance
in reply to: Request New Local Scene Forums@partyboygeezy I made the Philly forum public! I had it up for a while but it had 0 posts so i made it private. Mostly jam bands is cool!
I am still figuring out how to organize things around here but posting about Philly shows in there would be sick and I know at least Gardner & i will keep up with it
Also dude, so sick that you went to that show. The setlist was fire.
Thanks for sharing the review. Sounds like a badass time!
in reply to: Request New Local Scene ForumsHow do I get this going? I’m starting to feel like I have a good read on the Philly jam scene but it is mostly Jam.
I also just posted a review on Night 1 Phish Spring Tour in Seattle (Friday Night). It’s not on the main blog or anything but at least it’s something. Link below.

in reply to: Charleston, SC Live MusicMasta Killa – Wu Tang affiliate – just put on a classic hip-hop performance at The Charleston Pourhouse. Great crowd work and classic bars from the OG were washed out by the tidal wave of local talent – which completely stole the show. Slim SOUL, OLEG, NOAH JONES, MOONKAT DADDY, MIKE BROWN, INDI GXLD, NU, and every other local musician that played tonight showed New York what we are all about down here.. and im pretty sure they’re SHOOK.. if not, they’re in denial.

New Music: https://sarahsummer.bandcamp.com/track/tremolo-4Just released it today. The song is called Tremolo. I’m Sarah Summer, a South Carolinian musician that’s relocated to Arizona. I’ve made a batch of songs with Ryan “Wolfgang” Zimmerman and Christian Chidester at The Space in Charleston. Getting around to sharing those now. Hope you’ll tune in. More to come…

in forum: The Back BarSat down with Andrew at Radio Coffee in Austin last week to talk about the history of Extra Chill for his blog Quality Americana, based in Austin but covering songwriters everywhere. We had a great chat about music and the scene and the state of online publishing. Andrew was super cool and I was glad to do this!
Thanks to Andrew for publishing this story!

Andrew said he spends his time listening to unknown artists on Bandcamp to come up with content ideas for his website. A true grassroots publication focused on actively supporting independent artists.
Highly recommend checking him out and follow Quality Americana on Instagram!

you may know Dan from daddy’s Beemer or captaining a sailboat on the Ravenel. This tune is a mix of Jimmy Buffett, MJ lenderman, and Stacey’s Mom. An absolute hit.
As a friend of Dan I have the back story of this song being in the vault for like 5 years. I’m glad it’s finally out in the world.
