Yes, but it gets them out of sight for the tourists. We cannot forget that almost every decision made by Charleston is done with the interests of protecting tourist dollars. Charleston must continue to be seen as a perfect haven for the money to keep flowing.

Anything that looks sketchy to Karen & Kyle with their son Bryson and their daughter Bayleigh is swept under the rug, because God forbid they cancel their flights and 4 night stay at the Francis Marion hotel, steak dinner at Hall’s and instagram sessions at the Battery.

Wow this is super lame. I have tickets to 420 fest and I was really excited about it. Not sure if I even want to even go anymore.

Yeah, I’m really excited for this show too. I have some friends coming to town for the Bridge Run and I’m bringing all of them to the Music Farm the night before. It wouldn’t be Charleston without running the bridge hungover.

Noah Kahan does suck and I won’t be going to High Water this year because I don’t want to pay $400 for a ticket to see some 25 year old social media darling. Not worth the money anymore.

How do we go from My Morning Jacket just a few short years ago to Noah Kahan in 2024? How can those two acts even compare?

The saddest part is …. Noah Kahan’s inflated popularity will sell more tickets than an epic band like My Morning Jacket.

RIP to High Water Fest. Had a good run. Live Nation strikes again.

@Mandi not sure when you’re talking about but Uber in Charleston used to be a lot better before the pandemic. Folly beach especially can be hard to get an Uber.

Daddy’s money gets you pretty far in Charleston!

Bars having to close because of shit like this is a nightmare for the city. Not only does it directly impact the bars where the person was drinking, it also jacks up insurance rates across the board.

This woman has single handedly made Charleston a more expensive place to drink. Because guess what? Those costs get passed onto the people. What choice do the bars have but to raise their prices in the face of rising insurance rates?

I for one do not think the bars should be held responsible in this instance. I think the bars should stay open and let the bitch rot in jail. You do the crime, you pay the time.

How many people are getting wasted at bars all over Charleston on a daily basis and not killing newlyweds driving 65mph in a 25mph zone? And her second DUI.

in reply to: Hugh Baby’s BBQ

Tried Hugh Baby’s in West Ashley last week and I’ve gotta say I agree. Home Team is right up the road but it’s so overpriced.

Love the setup with a fast food style drive up window for delicious BBQ, too. I think it’s a pretty cool concept.

    Great hot dogs too!
