Michael Travis has a new all-improvised electronic duo called Snakes and Stars. They’re playing PoHo this week and they connected me with him for an interview. Founding drummer of String Cheese Incident, been in the game since before I was born.
We talked about the Grateful Dead, which was awesome for me. And his philosophies on improvisational music in general, and the state of the electronic music scene.
I’m gonna go check out the show tomorrow night. Electronic music isn’t my normal cup of tea but I’m into the improv aspect. I bet it will be a pretty dope gathering of wooks.
